Wedding: Francesca & Giles ~ The Old Kent Barn, Kent

I knew that Francesca & Giles’s wedding was going to be a great one to photograph as we had so much fun on their engagement shoot in Whitstable. Two naturals in front of the camera. The fact that they are great friends of mine made it all the more special.

The ceremony took place at St Mary Bredin church in Canterbury and the reception at the fabulous The Old Kent Barn. When they booked the wedding the barn was not even constructed so they obviously had great faith in the architects drawings (very brave). I’ve shot a number of weddings in barns but have to say this my one of my favourites with it’s huge windows there is an abundance of natural light which makes for fantastic photographs. The theme of sapphire blue and white continued throughout with stunning white orchids for the bouquets arranged by the lovely ladies at Contemporary Flowers.

They were blessed with an amazing Indian summers day, it was a complete joy to capture their wedding.

Luckily in the evening I got to put my camera down and enjoy the fantastic music performed by Dukes of Havoc one of the best bands I’ve heard at a wedding.

Enjoy the photo’s…
