Madeleine & Richard are getting married later this month at Lympne Castle. This is the first of many weddings I’m shooting at this beautiful venue this year. We met up in London for their Pre Wed shoot and spent a great few hours on and around the South Bank. I’m looking forward to capturing your big day for you in a few weeks.

My day began by shooting the bridal prep of Kerry and her bridesmaids. It was a great morning with lots of laughs and smiles. It was only a short drive up the road to All Saints Church in Sutton for the ceremony where I meet up with the boys for their final preparations.

It was a beautiful ceremony and both Kerry & Neil looked amazing in their wedding attire. There was just time for a quick confetti shot outside the church before making the short trip back to Woodhall Manor. Light is always at a premium at winter weddings so I whisked Kerry & Neil away for the bridal portrait shoot before we lost the opportunity.

I knew Kerry & Neil from my days at working at the Flight Centre so it was great to be sat on a table with some of my old colleagues. But, as soon as the wedding breakfast was over it was back to work to capture some very memorable wedding speeches.

After a fantastic first dance, certainly one of the best I’d seen this year, the dance floor filled up. From what I’ve heard the parting went on into the early hours.

Viki and Graeme had booked me a long time before their wedding, as Graeme was a manager in the pub next door to where I live. The date of the wedding was the 12/12/12 so there is going to be no excuse for Graeme to ever forget their anniversary.

The morning bridal preparations were a little on the hectic side, but filled with great emotion. Not only was there the usual bridal party in the room but also most of Viki’s family getting ready. It certainly made for some great moments to capture. All the hair and makeup was done by the wonderful Emily Rose.

Once the formalities and ceremony were completed we headed out into the grounds of the hop farm for the bridal portraits. It was a beautiful winters day but extremely cold which was a good thing as we had the place to ourselves and beautiful light.

The evening was filled with dancing and I also did a photobooth, which is always great fun.

They are getting married at the beautiful Polhawn Fort in Cornwall, fingers crossed for the weather, as it would be great to get some shots on the beach. For their pre-wed shoot we meet on an extremely cold day on the south bank, they brought their beautiful daughter along. She is very excited about her mum and dad’s big day as she is getting to be a bridesmaid. We had to take a half time break to re-heat with hot chocolates.

This is where Princess Diana went to school, she described her time here as some of the happiest years of her life. Celene had Viki & Lucy to do her hair and make up in the morning in the Diana room.  I love working with these ladies and that’s why I recommend them under Ben’s friends on my web site. It was a beautiful ceremony that took place at St Thomas of Canterbury church in Sevenoaks. Before heading the short drive back to West Heath for the reception. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings all over Kent but this was my first at West Heath, it’s a fantastic venue and I hope to be back soon.

Toby their chocolate lab who came along in the summer for the pre wedding shoot made an appearance at the wedding and of course had to have his photo taken. After the wedding breakfast I did catch Chris in the toilets practicing his speech, I just had to get that shot.

Weddings at Swan at the Globe have been some of my favourite of the year mainly due to being so close to so many wonderful landmarks of London.

Karen and Marks wedding was small and intimate with the emphasis upon family. Due to the fact that they live in Spain it was a great opportunity to have a Christmas meal with their nearest and dearest. As you can see the wedding had an extremely festive feel and it was such fun to capture their special day. After what can only be described as an amazing Christmas feast the guests were treated to a Shakespeare performance from local actors.
